Terra Cotta Warriors in ACM

About a month ago, me and a couple of PinoySG Instagrammers visited the Terra Cotta Warriors showcased here in the Asian Civilizations Museum.

While I may not be able to visit the rest of the soldiers in their original resting place in Xi'an, China anytime soon, seeing a few of them here in Singapore definitely is an experience. I loved the intricate details these warriors have (my favorite is the armor with metallic braces - see below!) and how so much history exude from these figures.

Imagine how difficult the construction of these must be during the Qin Dynasty with all the detail required. Isn't it fascinating that no two figures are identical? I also wondered how they originally looked like, considering that the outer paint is already gone due to air exposure.

I read in Wiki that only a few foreigners, such as Queen Elizabeth II, have been allowed to go near the army in Xi'an. Now how does one become of royalty, I wonder.
